Brick Township will begin its annual spring leaf collections April 7, 2025 the township announced this week.
As is the usual practice, the spring leaf collection will move forward on a schedule that follows a homeowner’s recycling schedule. If your recycling day is:
- Thursday, the collection period will be April 7-9.
- Friday, pickups will occur April 10-14.
- Monday, pickups will occur April 15-17.
- Tuesday, pickups will occur April 18-22.
- Wednesday, pickups will occur April 23-25.
Residents are asked to have bagged leaves at the curb by 6 a.m. the first day of their designated pickup window. Only leaves in bags will be collected; it is against township ordinances to “curb” leaves, as the practice can clog sewers and lead to flooding. Branches, twigs and other debris should not be placed in leaf bags. Bags must not weigh more than 50 pounds.

Leaves may also be brought to the township’s recycling center, 836 Ridge Road, Monday through Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Leaves are also collected at the Ocean County recycling center, located at 601 New Hampshire Avenue in Lakewood, during normal business hours.
