The Brick Township Board of Adjustment this week did not hear the case for a Wawa and 124-seat restaurant to be constructed on a plot of land along Route 88.<\/p>\n

A hearing\u00a0on the application by\u00a0JSM at Martin Boulevard, LLC, a company owned by developer Jack Morris, was scheduled to be taken up by the board Wednesday night but was ultimately postponed, said Township Planner Mike Fowler.<\/p>\n

Fowler said the hearing has been rescheduled to the board\u2019s March 15 meeting.<\/p>\n

This development, proposed for Route 88 and Jack Martin Boulevard at the site of the Laurelton Mobile Home Park, will include\u00a0a 5,051 square foot Wawa convenience store and associated gas facility; a 4,535 square foot bank; a 7,182 square foot commercial building including a 3,000 square foot, 124 seat restaurant; a 9,288 square foot daycare center; plus a total of 117 parking spaces on a 9.4 acre plot of land.<\/p>\n

In order to gain approval, Morris must obtain a use variance from the township\u2019s Board of Adjustment since more than one principal use \u2013 a trailer park, convenience store and bank \u2013 are proposed for a site currently zoned commercial. The developer is also applying for a slew of more minor \u201cbulk\u201d variances, including relief under the township\u2019s zoning code for\u00a0\u00a0minimum lot area, depth and width,\u00a0setbacks, impervious coverage and sign height.<\/p>\n

The March 15 meeting will be held at the township municipal complex at 7 p.m.<\/p>\n
