The police EMS squad employs paid members, versus Brick Volunteer EMS, which \u2013 as its name indicates \u2013 is made up of volunteers.<\/p>\n<p>The 8,902 calls represent approximately 97 percent of all of Brick\u2019s EMS calls. The statistical analysis came up during a discussion on the township\u2019s bill resolution,\u00a0which noted a 2008\u00a0E-350 Road Rescue vehicle being repaired.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor John Ducey said the township needs eight ambulances to meet demand, which is about 1,100 calls per vehicle, per year.
