At the strike of midnight Friday, Yankees fans in Ocean County breathed a sigh of relief \u2013 YES Network popped back on the air for the first time since late 2015.<\/p>\n

The first game to be broadcast on the network will be an exhibition game between the Yankees and Atlanta Braves to ceremonially open the Braves\u2019 new\u00a0SunTrust Park, at 7:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

With the exception of portion of the barrier island and Lakewood, all of Ocean County is covered by Comcast. The sparring between the two companies lasted over a year \u2013 YES blamed greed on the part of Comcast, and Comcast blamed YES for raising per-subscriber fees that would have to be passed on to customers.<\/p>\n

The Yankees will officially open their season April 2, Sunday, against the Tampa Bay Rays.<\/p>\n
