Construction crews have started the process of restoring a large gas station on Route 88 in Brick.<\/p>\n

Workers were seen setting up equipment at the former Mobil, then Lukoil, station at the corner of Jordan Road and the state highway. The station, which once included a McDonald\u2019s restaurant and drive-through car wash, has been vacant for several years. Lukoil\u00a0received approval from the township\u2019s zoning board earlier this year to revive the property.<\/p>\n

Lukoil said in its application that it\u00a0will\u00a0convert an existing 1,212 square foot building on the site to a convenience store, replace the\u00a0eight\u00a0existing fuel dispensers with six\u00a0new dispensers, and add diesel fuel dispensers to the station. There will also be modifications to the walkways at the site.<\/p>\n
