(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Brick\u2019s abandoned property demolition program will expand to three more properties, with township officials voting in favor of soliciting bids for the work Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p>The township\u2019s Property Maintenance Board recommended, and the council will seek bidders, for the demolition of 108 Bayview Drive, 533 Central Avenue and 73 Tall Timber Drive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese properties have been through our property maintenance board for several violations without any response,\u201d said Council President Art Halloran.<\/p>\n<p>Brick is one of several towns to have established a property maintenance board under a modification to state law passed several years ago. Under the law, \u201ctruly abandoned\u201d properties that have not been maintained can be torn down. A lien is then placed on the property so the town can be repaid.
