Police say the search of a home that occurred after the department\u2019s Drug Enforcement Unit made a traffic stop in the parking lot of a local supermarket led them to a cache of drugs that were being \u201cpacked for distribution.\u201d<\/p>\n

Monday\u2019s 1:10 p.m. traffic stop in the parking lot of the township\u2019s Stop & Shop supermarket immediately led to the arrest of\u00a0Jeanette Larussa, 33, of Brick,\u00a0for an outstanding warrant and possession of a quantity of heroin.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As a result of that stop, the DEU and the Ocean County Sherriff\u2019s Department K-9 Unit conducted a search of her residence on North Pier Drive in the Sailors Quay section.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The search of the residence, police said, turned up\u00a0quantities of crack cocaine that were being packaged for distribution. On location, according to Sgt. Neal Pedersen, there were also approximately 70 wax folds of suspected heroin and two bags of marijuana containing less than 50 grams, plus a total of $429 cash, which was was seized.<\/p>\n
