Matt Hecht\/Released)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The U.S. Coast Guard began a search for a fishing vessel out of Manasquan Inlet after a distress beacon sent out an alert early Thursday morning.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times; font-size: medium;\">Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Hampton Roads in Portsmouth, Virginia, received an emergency position-indicating radio beacon (EPIRB) alert for the Queen Ann\u2019s Revenge, a 46-foot fishing boat, at <span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1166568551\"><span class=\"aQJ\">1:20 a.m.<\/span><\/span>, while watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay were notified by fishermen of a distress call over VHF radio shortly after the EPIRB alert, the Coast Guard said. The search was centered about 40 miles off Barnegat Inlet.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times; font-size: medium;\">An MH-65 Dolphin search and rescue helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City was launched, and located the EPIRB.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times; font-size: medium;\">A Good Samaritan fishing boat crew aiding in the search located possible debris, a statement from the Coast Guard said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times; font-size: medium;\">Coast Guard units involved in the search are 47-foot Motor Life Boat crews from Coast Guard Station Manasquan Inlet and Barnegat Light, HC-130 Hercules aircrews from Air Station Elizabeth City, North Carolina and the Coast Guard Cutter Lawrence Lawson is en route, USCG officials said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Any mariners who discover any items related to the fishing vessel are being asked to contact Sector Delaware Bay watchstanders at 215-271-4940.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fcbkbttn_buttons_block\" id=\"fcbkbttn_left\"><div class=\"fb-share-button fcbkbttn_large_button \" data-href=\"https:\/\/shorebeat.com\/brick\/2018\/02\/coast-guard-searching-for-point-pleasant-beach-fishing-boat\/\" data-type=\"button_count\" data-size=\"large\"><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. Coast Guard began a search for a fishing vessel out of Manasquan Inlet after a distress beacon sent out an alert early Thursday morning.
