The Brick Township High School Drama Club will present the spring musical \u201cGuys and Dolls\u201d next month.<\/p>\n

The performances are Friday, April 20 and Saturday, April 21 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, April 22 at 2 p.m. in the BTHS Auditorium, 346 Chambers Bridge Road.<\/p>\n

The Drama Club is an award-winning group, having previously won the \u201cOcean County Teen Arts Program\u201d.<\/p>\n

Set in Damon Runyon\u2019s mythical New York City,\u00a0\u201cGuys and Dolls\u201d<\/em>\u00a0is an oddball romantic comedy. Gambler Nathan Detroit (Christian Brando), tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while the authorities, John MacIntosh (Lt. Brannigan) breathe down his neck; meanwhile, his girlfriend and nightclub performer, Adelaide (Alyssa Hajeski) laments that they\u2019ve been engaged for fourteen years. Nathan turns to fellow gambler, Sky Masterson (Stephen Pasch), for the dough, and Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary, Sarah Brown (Hailey Bennett), as a result.<\/p>\n

Guys and Dolls<\/em>\u00a0takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City, but eventually everyone ends up right where they belong.<\/p>\n

The show includes such memorable musical numbers as Bushel and A Peck, Sit Down You\u2019re Rocking the Boat, Luck Be A Lady along with the title number Guys and Dolls.\u00a0 The Broadway production and movie has starred Marlon Brando, Frank Sinatra, Nathan Lane and Faith Prince among many famous entertainers.<\/p>\n

Other members of the cast are Zack Bliss (Nicely-Nicely Johnson),George Morano (Benny Southstreet), Zac Shiess (Rusty Charlie) Savon Box (Harry The Horse), Veronica Pontrantolfi (Arvida Abernathy) Victoria Sparacello , Madison Baracia, Shelby Wood (Hot Box Dancers) , Maryrose Ehlers & Lida Haut (Mission Band) and Lauren Dyke & Dylan Rankin (Ensemble).<\/p>\n

The show is directed by Cheryl Best while the student Assistant Director is Erin O\u2019Neill.<\/p>\n
