Burdge\u00a0struck trees in the front yard of 301 Cherry Quay Road which caused the truck to overturn, Ptl. Scott Dierking said. He was able to exit the vehicle on his own, and police found him sitting near the truck when they arrived.<\/p>\n<p>Burdge was subsequently transported by Brick Township Police EMS and MONOC paramedics to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.\u00a0Ptl. Riccio was first arriving unit on the scene, followed by several other officers who directed traffic. The crash caused a two-hour detour while an investigation was taking place, Dierking said.<\/p>\n<p>The accident remains under investigation.
