Phil Murphy.<\/p>\n<p>The township council last week hired a replacement for Eric D. Brophy, of the Diegnan and Brophy law office in Wall. Brophy, who serves on the Monmouth County Democrats\u2019 executive committee, recently was hired by Murphy\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe got appointed to a position with the state, and I believe as a consequence he closed his law practice,\u201d said Township Attorney Kevin Starkey.<\/p>\n<p>The township\u2019s new code enforcement prosecutor is attorney Michael R. Burns of the form Grace Marmero and Associates, located in Woodbury, Gloucester County. The firm will be paid $165 per hour for their work.<\/p>\n<p>Brick officials first hired a dedicated prosecutor for code enforcement, property maintenance and similar issues after they began a crackdown on abandoned and unkempt bank-owned properties in town.
