Wolfe Elementary School on Friday morning was precautionary in nature and unrelated to any events at the schools themselves.<\/p>\n<p>According to Capt. Keith Reinhard, police responded to a residence on Sprucewood Drive at 8:59 a.m. for a report of an armed subject inside a residence. Just prior, he said, a home health aide entered the residence to meet with the homeowner and found the person inside with a weapon. No threats were made towards the home health aide or anyone else, Reinhard said.<\/p>\n<p>The home health aide immediately exited the residence and notified police. Arriving officers set up a perimeter and, as a precaution, placed the two schools on lockdown.<\/p>\n<p>At approximately 10:45 a.m., police were able to make contact with the homeowner \u201cat which time he was placed into protective custody and taken to Ocean Medical Center for an evaluation,\u201d said Reinhard.<\/p>\n<p>There were no other occupants inside the residence and no one was injured.<\/p>\n<p>Police removed at least one loaded weapon from the residence.\u00a0 No charges are being filed at this time, Reinhard said, and the investigation is ongoing.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fcbkbttn_buttons_block\" id=\"fcbkbttn_left\"><div class=\"fb-share-button fcbkbttn_large_button \" data-href=\"https:\/\/shorebeat.com\/brick\/2019\/05\/brick-pd-school-lockdown-was-precautionary-after-health-aide-found-man-with-gun\/\" data-type=\"button_count\" data-size=\"large\"><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Brick police said the lockdown order at Brick Township High School and Warren H.
