Trader Joe\u2019s will open its doors Thursday in Brick Plaza, the company announced Monday, beginning with a ceremonial ribbon cutting in the morning.<\/p>\n

The premium supermarket will open in Brick Plaza in the space formerly occupied by Ethan Allen furniture. Trader Joe\u2019s operates 474 food markets in 43 states. The Brick store will be the first Trader Joe\u2019s to open in Ocean County, the company said.<\/p>\n

The store will open at 9 a.m. following a ribbon cutting at 8:55 a.m. The celebration will continue throughout the morning, with live music, tastings, giveaways and more. Casey Latsko, a 13-year veteran of the company who is serving as \u201cstore captain,\u201d and Trader Joe\u2019s crew members, will be on hand to welcome customers to their neighborhood store, the announcement said.<\/p>\n

Open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., the store will feature murals that highlight local attractions and landmarks including the Mantoloking Bridge, Brick Beach, the Windward Beach Amphitheater and more.<\/p>\n

Trader Joe\u2019s, a subsidiary of the German supermarket giant Aldi Nord, was earlier this year voted America\u2019s \u201cfavorite grocery store,\u201d according to a survey<\/a>. TJ\u2019s is known for operating stores that are physically smaller than competitors like Whole Foods or Wegman\u2019s, and offering private label brands with natural ingredients and premium quality.<\/p>\n
