Brick police said Friday they had arrested and charged four township residents with drug distribution after the department\u2019s street crimes unit began investigating complaints from residents about activity \u201cindicative of drug distribution\u201d in their neighborhoods.<\/p>\n

Several citizen complaints resulted in the Jan. 29 serving of a search warrant on an apartment in Kentwood Village off of Van Zile Road.<\/p>\n

The resident, Anthony Chieffo, 24, and two other men, Alexander Santos, 21, and Christopher Johnson, 19, all of Brick, were on location where officers seized almost 7 ounces of marijuana, police said in a statement. Chieffo and Santos were charged with distribution and possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Johnson was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. All three were released on summonses to appear to answer for those charges.<\/p>\n

A much larger seizure would come the next day.<\/p>\n

On Jan. 30, police said, investigations by the Street Crimes Unit led to a search warrant being executed at a residence on Van Courtland Drive which resulted in the seizure of over 2 pounds of marijuana and evidence related to other illicit substances, the statement said. The suspect, Dylan Ryan, 18, of Brick, was arrested and charged with distribution and possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ryan was released on a summons.<\/p>\n
