(Photo: QSL Corporate)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Quaker Steak and Lube, a popular restaurant in Brick Township since it opened in 2012, has shut down for good, employees confirmed to Shorebeat on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>The restaurant, known for its muscle car theme and a plethora of hot sauces for its signature chicken wings on the menu, will not reopen. Sources said the location in Edison, N.J. was also permanently shuttered this week.<\/p>\n<p>It is unknown if the restaurant, located in the rear portion of Brick Plaza, closed directly due to the economic fallout of the coronavirus epidemic. The chain\u2019s representatives did not respond to questions sent by Shorebeat on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Quaker Steak and Lube is owned by Doherty Enterprises, a major franchisee, which also owns the Chevy\u2019s Fresh Mex chain that occupied the space before the Quaker brand replaced it.
