The Jersey Shore may be a prime viewing location for the launch of an Antares rocket scheduled to take flight Monday night from the Wallops Island, Va. NASA launch facility.<\/p>\n

According to the National Weather Service office in Mount Holly, the launch should be visible across much of the eastern US, especially across the mid-Atlantic region. Clear skies at the 6:45 p.m. launch time will make it easier to see.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In order to see the launch, observers should look to the south from a clear location \u2013 the beach is perfect \u2013 and the rocket should be visible within 90 to 180 seconds after the launch. Ocean County, according to a chart provided by the National Weather Service, is on the border of two zones of exactly where to look for the launch \u2013 10 feet above the horizon and 15 feet above the horizon. So keep a sharp lookout in that range.<\/p>\n
