Brick police say the Mantoloking Bridge is currently stuck in the open position.<\/p>\n

Two messages were sent out by Brick police, the first at 12:22 p.m., saying the bridge was experiencing mechanical issues and would be repaired within about 20 minutes. At 12:38 p.m., a second message was sent, advising that the bridge was \u201cstuck\u201d in the open position and drivers should use alternate routes through Point Pleasant or Route 37 to and from the barrier island.<\/p>\n

Drivers should plan an alternative route, police said.<\/p>\n
