(Credit: NWS)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The National Weather Service is predicting a decidedly rainy Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for the Shore area, the latest forecast from the agency said.<\/p>\n<p>While it was earlier thought that some snow could fall in the northern and western reaches of New Jersey, an incoming storm looks to be a rain-only event for the entire state \u2013 and temperatures will actually be unseasonably mild.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a chance of rain, mainly after 1 p.m., on Christmas Eve (Thursday), with otherwise mostly cloudy skies, with a high near 60. It will be windy. Rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch are possible.<\/p>\n<p>The night of Christmas Eve, the rain will turn steady and become heavier, with a low of 46.
