Brick police officers arrested two suspected crack cocaine dealers after conducting a search warrant at the Maple Leaf Park condominium complex in the township.<\/p>\n

Police had been investigating the drug activity for three months, according to Sgt. Jim Kelly. On Tuesday, Feb. 23 at approximately 9:30 p.m., detectives from the department\u2019s Street Crimes Unit executed a \u201cKnock and Announce\u201d search warrant on Sawmill Road that led to two arrests.<\/p>\n

On location, David Gonzalez, 32, of Brick, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and crack, possession of cocaine and crack, possession of paraphernalia and tampering with evidence.<\/p>\n

Joshua Gonzalez, 31, of East Windsor, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and crack, possession of cocaine and crack, and possession of paraphernalia.<\/p>\n

The total amount of drugs seized from the scene was approximately 30 grams of powder cocaine and 26 grams of crack, Kelly said. Also seized, he said, was an undisclosed amount of US currency, which was believed to be proceeds of the illegal activity.<\/p>\n
