Detectives from the Brick Township Police Department\u2019s Street Crimes Unit arrested five people in the span of an hour Friday, allegedly involved in two separate drug deals in the parking lot of one of the township\u2019s Wawa stores.<\/p>\n

According to a statement from police, detectives made the arrests after 11:30 a.m. Friday near the Wawa at 116 Brick Boulevard.<\/p>\n

In the first incident, the detectives observed a woman, later identified as Shayna Palmieri, 31, of Toms River, exit her parked vehicle and enter the passenger side of another vehicle with one male occupant, police said. That man was later identified as D\u2019andre Tubbs, 33, of Toms River. The two were \u201cobserved conducting what appeared to be a drug transaction,\u201d and a subsequent motor vehicle stop led to the discovery of 200 wax folds of heroin and 10 Xanax pills, according to police<\/p>\n

Palmieri was charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, and possession of heroin and paraphernalia. She was lodged in Ocean County Jail. Tubbs was charged with distributing heroin, possession of heroin, possession of Xanax, and paraphernalia. He was also lodged in Ocean County Jail.<\/p>\n

Less than an hour later, another detective from the Street Crimes unit observed the occupant of a white sedan allegedly engaged in a hand-to-hand transaction with the occupants of another vehicle. Another motor vehicle stop was conducted which resulted in the arrest of three people for drug-related crimes.<\/p>\n

Steven Weber, 55, of Little Egg Harbor, was found to be in possession of 210 wax folds of heroin, approximately five grams of crack cocaine, a \u201clarge amount\u201d of U.S. currency, and a pill bottle containing urine, police said. He was charged with distributing heroin, possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession with the intent to distribute crack, possession of heroin, possession of crack, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a device used to defraud the administration of a drug test, and several motor vehicle violations. Weber was lodged in Ocean County Jail.<\/p>\n

Alysia Wojceichowski, 27, of Little Egg Harbor, was charged with possession of heroin, possession of crack, possession of hypodermic syringes and drug paraphernalia. She was also lodged in Ocean County Jail. Stephanie Lewicki, 37, of Little Egg Harbor, was charged with possession of heroin and possession of hypodermic syringes. She was released on a summons.<\/p>\n

Detectives seized the U.S. currency and the vehicle. Lewicki\u2019s photograph was not available.<\/p>\n
