Sheridan last week following his agreement to a plea deal. DiPasquale, in addition to the jail term and probation, will also be obligated to pay restitution of $435,270, of which he already has paid $307,404, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney\u2019s office said.<\/p>\n<p>According to an example of the violations provided by prosecutors, DiPasquale, during the third quarter of 2015, failed to pay over $26,633 in payroll taxes on behalf of seven employees, and did not file necessary paperwork. The seven employees were paid $112,446.<\/p>\n<p>DiPasquale failed to pay the full $435,270 in payroll taxes between 2010 and 2015, the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInvestigating and prosecuting business owners who intentionally fail to pay their employment tax obligations is a priority for IRS-Criminal Investigation,\u201d said Michael Montanez, Special Agent in Charge of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the IRS\u2019s Newark field office. \u201cToday\u2019s sentencing is a reflection of just how serious the courts view these crimes and Mr. DiPasquale is now a convicted felon with a prison term to serve.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DiPasquale was not listed as an inmate in the federal Bureau of Prisons database.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fcbkbttn_buttons_block\" id=\"fcbkbttn_left\"><div class=\"fb-share-button fcbkbttn_large_button \" data-href=\"https:\/\/shorebeat.com\/brick\/2021\/06\/owner-of-brick-asphalt-company-will-spend-a-year-in-jail-over-tax-charge\/\" data-type=\"button_count\" data-size=\"large\"><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The owner of a Brick Township asphalt company will spend a year and one day behind bars and remain on probation afterwards for shorting the government more than $435,000 in tax payments.
