Portions of western New Jersey and Pennsylvania could receive several inches of rain<\/a> Wednesday night into Thursday, however the Shore area will see less precipitation despite a thunderstorm risk.<\/p>\n

The forecast from the National Weather Service calls for a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a slight chance of showers afterward. It will other be mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. Southeast winds will blow 10 to 15 m.p.h.<\/p>\n

The thunderstorm threat re-emerges after 8 p.m. Wednesday night. It will also be breezy, with south winds gusting in upwards of 25 m.p.h. A tenth to a quarter-inch of rain is expected, though thunderstorms could produce higher totals in specific areas. On Thursday, showers are likely and possibly a thunderstorm in the beginning of the day, but skies will gradually become mostly sunny, with a high near 83.<\/p>\n

Chances of showers will continue Thursday night into Friday, and thunderstorms will continue to be a possibility. Unfortunately, according to forecasters, overcast skies and a small threat of rain will last through Saturday.<\/p>\n
