(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Brick Township has entered into a shared services agreement with Mantoloking borough to provide code enforcement services.<\/p>\n<p>The Brick township council voted unanimously this week to approve the agreement, under which Brick will take over code enforcement duties as they pertain to property maintenance and similar violations. (Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Newman said given the seasonal nature of Mantoloking and the tendency of such residents to utilize commercial landscaping services will likely result in few property maintenance complaints emanating from the small borough.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have to pass through Mantoloking to get to the barrier island section of town, so it makes sense, and we will be the code enforcement officer for the borough,\u201d said Township Administrator Joanne Bergin.<\/p>\n<p>Brick Township inspectors will be utilized on an as-needed basis for $45 per hour, with additional or evening hours billed at $67 per hour.
