(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Brick officials on Tuesday night awarded a contract to a construction firm for the improvement and repaving of the Point Pleasant Manor neighborhood, more commonly known as the \u201cpresident streets\u201d since they are named for former American presidents.<\/p>\n<p>The council unanimously awarded the $713,913 contract to Earle Asphalt of Farmingdale, the low bidder out of six submitted.<\/p>\n<p>The project will include milling, resurfacing and drainage improvements for Washington Drive, Adams Drive, Jefferson Drive, Truman Drive, Taft Drive and Taft Court. Truman Drive will receive additional drainage improvements, Mayor John Ducey said.<\/p>\n<p>Bids ranged from $1.1 million to the low bid.
