In Brick, the practice of \u201ccurbing\u201d leaves is prohibited since the township does not operate vacuum trucks and leaves moved into the streets can clog storm drains, causing flooding. Therefore, leaves must be bagged and left for pickup (or brought to the recycling center on Ridge Road).<\/p>\n<p>Collection is done in accordance to the recycling schedule. The schedule for this year is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If Your Recycling Day is\u00a0<strong>THURSDAY<\/strong>\u2026your collection periods are October 24 \u2013 October 28\u00a0<strong><em>and<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0November 28 \u2013 December 2<\/li>\n<li>If Your Recycling Day is\u00a0<strong>FRIDAY<\/strong>\u2026your collection periods are October 31 \u2013 November 4\u00a0<strong><em>and<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0December 5 \u2013 December 9<\/li>\n<li>If Your Recycling Day is\u00a0<strong>MONDAY<\/strong>\u2026your collection periods are November 7 \u2013 November 11\u00a0<strong><em>and<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0December 12 \u2013 December 16<\/li>\n<li>If Your Recycling Day is\u00a0<strong>TUESDAY<\/strong>\u2026your collection periods are November 14 \u2013 November 18\u00a0<strong><em>and<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0December 19 \u2013 December 23<\/li>\n<li>If Your Recycling Day is\u00a0<strong>WEDNESDAY<\/strong>\u2026your collection periods are November 21 \u2013 November 25\u00a0<strong><em>and<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0December 26 \u2013 December 30<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Officials ask that residents have their leaves at the curbside by 6 a.m. on the first day of the collection period. Only leaves in bags will be collected. Bags must not weigh more than 50-pounds each.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo not put branches, twigs or debris in bags,\u201d an announcement said.<\/p>\n<p>Leaves can be brought to the Brick Public Works Recycling Center anytime during regular hours (Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m).
