(Photo: Ocean County Jail)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Brick Township Police Department\u2019s Street Crimes Unit published details of a number of their most recent proactive policing efforts that resulted in arrests.<\/p>\n<p>Street Crimes Unit Detectives stopped a vehicle for aggressive driving at Monday, Oct. 17 at about 8 p.m., Sgt. Jim Kelly said. The driver, Kwame Richardson, 28, of Lakewood, allegedly provided a false name. Richardson was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension and several motor vehicle summonses. He was released pending his court date.<\/p>\n<p>On Oct. 20, SCU detectives observed a woman later identified as Tracey Martin, 38, of Brick, \u201cloitering and asking individuals for drugs,\u201d Kelly said.<\/p>\n<p>Detectives made contact with Martin and the ensuing investigation led to the discovery of stolen medications, drug paraphernalia and other prescription medications, according to a statement from police. Martin was charged with loitering to obtain a controlled dangerous substance, two counts of drug possession, eight counts of possession of prescription legend drugs, receiving stolen property, and possession of paraphernalia. Martin was issued a warrant and lodged in Ocean County Jail.<\/p>\n<p>The following day, Oct. 21, detectives from the unit stopped a vehicle in the area of Jack Martin Boulevard after they \u201cobserved several motor vehicle violations,\u201d said Kelly.<\/p>\n<p>The driver, Timothy Gandy, 35, of Brick, was found to have two outstanding warrants for his arrest, police said. Officer Scott Smith, a K9 officer responded with his partner, K9 Echo, and an exterior sniff of the vehicle \u201cindicated Gandy was in possession of drugs,\u201d the statement said. The ensuing search yielded \u201cwax folds, typically utilized to package heroin, crack cocaine, oxycodone pills and paraphernalia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gandy was charged with 3 counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, drug paraphernalia, and motor vehicle summonses.
