Brick Township PBA Local 230 will hold its 33rd annual Helping Hands Benefit Basketball Game later this month to raise funds to assist two township residents dealing with major medical hurdles.<\/p>\n

As tradition holds, Brick police officers will take on the Brick Township High School Green Dragons football team in a game of basketball to raise funds for the families of Billy Paterno and John Lynch.<\/p>\n

Billy Paterno is a 2-year old who was recently diagnosed with leukemia, while John Lynch is a teacher at Brick Township High School who recently suffered a stroke. The funds raised by the game will go to Billy and John\u2019s families to help deal with the financial hardships caused by their health conditions, the PBA said in its announcement of this year\u2019s event.<\/p>\n

The game will be held Thursday, April 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Lake Riviera Middle School on Beaverson Boulevard. Tickets are $5 per adult and $3 per student, and can be purchased in advance or at the door.
