Acclaimed international violinist Dr. David Podles will return to several Ocean County Library branches in the coming weeks, including Brick, for a series of \u201cMusical Medleys.\u201d<\/p>\n

Podles, laureate of three prestigious international competitions, has performed solo and in symphony, chamber, orchestra and ballet ensembles in Russia and the former Soviet republics, as well as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and other New York venues. He will present three shows in Ocean County, with the Brick performance titled, \u201cInternational Music of the Movies.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cReminisce with memorable songs of films from the 1930s to the 1990s, including The Thomas Crown Affair, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Titanic, and many others,\u201d an announcement from the library said.<\/p>\n

The Brick performance will be held Saturday, May 13 at 2 p.m., located in the branch at 301 Chambers Bridge Road. The program is free, but registration is required at www.theoceancountylibrary.org\/events<\/a> to attend one of these free programs.
