The Brick Township council appointed a new member to the township\u2019s Zoning Board of Adjustment at their meeting Tuesday night, and last month reappointed a commissioner to the board of the BTMUA.<\/p>\n

A vacancy was created on the board May 3, 2023, which necessitated the appointment of a new member, a resolution stated. The governing body unanimously voted in favor of filling the open seat with Wendy Evegan, a Laurelwood Road resident.<\/p>\n

Evegan\u2019s term began May 9 and will last through Dec. 31, 2024. In her professional life, Evegan serves as a code enforcement officer in Seaside Heights.<\/p>\n

In a separate matter, last month, the council reappointed a commissioner to serve on the board of commissioners of the Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority, the local water-sewer utility.<\/p>\n

That vacancy on the board was filled with the re-appointment of William Neafsey, an Albert Street resident. Neafsey was appointed to a full, five-year term as commissioner, running from April 11, 2023 to Jan. 31, 2028.<\/p>\n
