Brick\u2019s youngsters were invited to participate in the township\u2019s annual Fishing Derby last weekend at Lake Riviera Park.<\/p>\n

While sometimes overlooked by Barnegat Bay, the Atlantic Ocean and the major rivers that flow through town, Brick\u2019s Lake Riviera offers some calm freshwater fishing from shore. A few different species of bass, plus bluegill, crappie and perch can all be caught in the lake, located in the neighborhood that\u2019s named for it off Brick Boulevard.<\/p>\n

Mayor Lisa Crate, Council President Heather deJong and Councilman Vince Minichino attended the event and gave out awards to the winners:<\/p>\n
