Meanwhile, the store is closed while its owners await repairs.<\/p>\n<p>Brick Police Sgt. Jim Kelly said the accident occurred at 10:42 a.m. Monday, after which police received a call that a vehicle had crashed into the store, located at 1151 Burnt Tavern Road. (Photo: Shorebeat)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The driver, 58-year old Mary O\u2019Brien from Howell, accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake as she was pulling into a parking space in front of the store, Kelly said. There were no injuries sustained in the one-car accident.<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Brien was cited with a careless driving summons.<\/p>\n<p>The front of the building sustained significant damage, and was evacuated. The township and county building and health departments responded to assess the damage and safety concerns.
