(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Fluke and sea bass are biting, but some anglers are already feeling the call of the fall striped bass run.<\/p>\n<p>In Brick Township, beach buggy permits will be available for purchase beginning Aug. 30, the township announced. The permits will allow beach access to four-wheel drive vehicles from Oct. 1, 2023 through April 30, 2024. There is a limit of 125 permits available for the season.<\/p>\n<p>Beach vehicle permit applications are <a href=\"https:\/\/files.constantcontact.com\/e93c8653601\/e1e2174f-f82e-4956-9e16-7b2105349ed6.pdf?rdr=true\">available online<\/a> and in the Township Clerk\u2019s office, 401 Chambers Bridge Road. The permit application fee is $35. There is no charge for veterans or those with an active military ID.<\/p>\n<p>The beach buggy access point in Brick Township is at Brick Beach I, which serves as the only public entry and egress point for four-wheel drive vehicles. All vehicles are subject to an inspection by the Brick Township Police Department before a permit is approved. Inspections will be conducted at the Municipal Building. <strong>The inspection schedule is as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Wednesdays:<\/strong> August 30, September 6, 13, and 20 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fridays:<\/strong> September 1, 8, 15, and 22 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Saturdays:<\/strong> September 2, 9, 16, and 23 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications must be completed prior to inspection. Applications must include $35, copy of a valid driver\u2019s license and a copy of valid vehicle registration. Applications can be submitted in the Clerk\u2019s Office, to Traffic Safety at the time of inspection (checks made payable to Township of Brick) and mailed to the Clerk\u2019s Office (checks made payable to Township of Brick).
