Fluke and sea bass are biting, but some anglers are already feeling the call of the fall striped bass run.<\/p>\n

In Brick Township, beach buggy permits will be available for purchase beginning Aug. 30, the township announced. The permits will allow beach access to four-wheel drive vehicles from Oct. 1, 2023 through April 30, 2024. There is a limit of 125 permits available for the season.<\/p>\n

Beach vehicle permit applications are available online<\/a> and in the Township Clerk\u2019s office, 401 Chambers Bridge Road. The permit application fee is $35. There is no charge for veterans or those with an active military ID.<\/p>\n

The beach buggy access point in Brick Township is at Brick Beach I, which serves as the only public entry and egress point for four-wheel drive vehicles. All vehicles are subject to an inspection by the Brick Township Police Department before a permit is approved. Inspections will be conducted at the Municipal Building.
