Some roads were experiencing minor flooding in usual trouble spots.<\/p>\n<p>The NWS has issued, as of Thursday night:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Rip current advisory through Saturday at 8 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Coastal flood advisory through Saturday at 12 a.m.<\/li>\n<li>Flood watch through Saturday at 6 a.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cPeriods of heavy rain are likely beginning late [Thursday night], continuing through Friday night,\u201d the NWS statement said. \u201cRainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are expected, with locally higher amounts of 6 inches or more possible.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This flooding, the NWS said, will be prompted by \u201cexcessive rainfall.\u201d Coastal flooding, driven by tides and wind, is also expected. Wave heights in the surf zone will run 4-6 feet.<\/p>\n<p>High tide on the ocean (based in Seaside Heights) will occur at 7:44 a.m. and 8:05 p.m. Friday.
