(Photo: Brick Township)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\u201cThank you to American Ramp for constructing the park and creating a great facility for residents to gather, work on new skills, and make new friends,\u201d the township posted on its social media feed after the ceremony.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a really nice setup \u2013 I\u2019m glad they have something like this in town,\u201d another parent said as he was helping pack his kids\u2019 equipment into the family SUV.<\/p>\n<p>A bike and scooter park already existed at the site \u2013 the location of the township\u2019s old skate park before it was moved to Bernie Cooke Park on the opposite side of town during a series of park renovations. The new park could only acommodate skateboards, however, and the equipment left over at Drum Point was considered old, and also needed to be upgraded for safety purposes.
