Police)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>A Brick resident called police after noticing a man inside his home stealing items, authorities said Monday, eventually resulting in a foot chase that saw a township man arrested and suspected of additional burglaries.<\/p>\n<p>Officers on Nov. 14 were called to the Kentwood Village Apartments in reference to a burglary in progress. The victim, who was not home, \u201cobserved a male on a security camera inside the apartment,\u201d said Ptl. Victoria FInelli. \u201cThe victim was able to provide police with a description of the subject they observed in the apartment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Within minutes, police responded to the scene and located a male matching the description of the suspect running from the apartment. Ptl. Matt Farnkopf ordered the suspect to stop, Finelli said, but he refused and continued to run. After a short foot chase, Farnkopf apprehended the suspect on Route 70.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect was identified as Joshua R. Guarino, 34, of Brick. Guarino is alleged to have been found to be in possession of women\u2019s clothing and jewelry.\u00a0\u00a0Only some of the items in Guarino\u2019s possession were claimed by the reporting person, Finelli said. Police believe there are additional victims.<\/p>\n<p>Guarino was charged with burglary, theft, obstruction, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, resisting arrest and interference with transportation.
