(Photo: Daniel Nee) Click to expand.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Brick school officials announced overnight that the district will be closed due to the snow storm affecting the region Friday.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Due to inclement weather, and with the unpredictability and timing of this storm, Brick Schools will now be closed today, Friday, January 19, 2024,&#8221; the announcement said. &#8220;All inclement weather day school closings will be added to the 2023-2024 school year calendar.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, temperatures are expected to dip to 17 degrees overnight Friday into Saturday and 14 degrees Saturday night into Sunday, prompting Ocean County to issue a &#8220;Code Blue&#8221; alert which opens warming shelters.<\/p>\n<p>A Code Blue alert has been issued for Ocean County from through Tuesday, Jan. 23.
