A year shy of its terquasquicentennial (yes, we promise the word is real, and is one of a few that refers to 175 years), Brick Township is celebrating its 174th birthday this year, with township officials hoping a party will break us all out of the winter doldrums.<\/p>\n

The annual Brick Birthday Bash will be held on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Civic Plaza, 270 Chambers Bridge Road. The bash is free to attend.<\/p>\n

The event celebrates the founding of the township with games, music, hand painting, giveaways and of course \u2013 birthday cake<\/em>. While the party is open to all, the themed activities are designed to be enjoyed by youngsters. The Birthday Party is free to attend.<\/p>\n

The Brick Birthday Party is hosted by the Mayor\u2019s Student Advisory Committee, which is comprised of students from Brick Township and Brick Memorial High Schools. The party was started in 2016 after an elementary school student made the suggestion.<\/p>\n
