Brick Township will host one of its most popular spring events \u2013 the annual \u201cGreen Fair,\u201d which lets residents and visitors interact with township build officials, representatives from environmental groups, try out unique gardening and \u201cgreen\u201d products, and see the work students in the township\u2019s school system have been doing to improve the environment in their town.<\/p>\n

The event will be held Saturday, May 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bob Anstett Cultural Arts Center, 515 Herbertsville Road. (The site is adjacent to the Havens Homestead Museum.)<\/p>\n

The theme of this year\u2019s outdoor event is \u201cCradle to Cradle,\u201d and the goal of a zero-waste future by creating products and systems that can be fully repurposed, recycled or completely biodegraded at the end of their life cycles.<\/p>\n

The Green Fair will feature exhibitors, vendors, prizes, refreshments, door prizes and more. Admission is free.<\/p>\n

Having initially begun as a small event hosted at Brick Township High School gym, the Green Fair has grown to a large outdoor celebration of the environment that includes not only nonprofit groups and vendors, but township officials from departments that handle building and environmental matters.<\/p>\n
