Brick Township\u2019s Summerfest celebration will continue Thursday night with music, food trucks, a beer-and-wine garden and \u2013 as always \u2013 fireworks over the river At Windward Beach Park.<\/p>\n

This week\u2019s band is \u201cAftershock,\u201d a \u201cSouth Jersey cover band doing a little bit of everything \u2013 rock, pop, country, and hip-hop,\u201d the group\u2019s website says.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a six-piece hailing from New Jersey, Aftershock creates the ultimate mix of yesterday\u2019s classics and today\u2019s hits,\u201d a preview of the group\u2019s appearance at Resorts World Casino said. \u201cFrom Frankie Valli and Journey to Bruno Mars and Blink-182, Aftershock delivers an authentic and high energy performance guaranteed to excite and captivate all night long.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event is free to attend.<\/p>\n

Music begins approximately 7 p.m. and the fireworks are shot off around 9 p.m. after dark.<\/p>\n

The township offers a complimentary shuttle bus service that will bring attendees to and from Windward Beach, as the park\u2019s parking lots fill up quickly. The pick-up\/drop-off locations are: Drum Point Elementary School; Veterans Memorial Middle School; Midstreams Elementary School; Lanes Mill School; and Brick Township High School.<\/p>\n

Trips to Windward Beach begin at 5 p.m. and return trips begin at 8 p.m. Coolers and chairs are permitted on shuttles. No alcohol is permitted in coolers or bags; all coolers and bags are subject to search.<\/p>\n

Summerfest Concerts are also broadcast on 87.9FM so people attending and watching fireworks by boat can enjoy the show. Hundreds of boaters commonly anchor off Windward Beach for a perfect view of the fireworks each week.<\/p>\n
