(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Summer remains in full swing, but Brick Township officials are already beginning to prepare for the fall striped bass run.<\/p>\n<p>The township is now accepting applications for beach vehicle permits for the 2024-2025 fishing season. The permits will allow beach access to vehicles from Oct. 1, 2024 through April 30, 2025. There is a limit of 125 permits available for the season.<\/p>\n<p>Beach vehicle permit applications are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bricktownship.net\/documents\/2024-2025-beach-vehicle-permit-application-inspection-schedule\/\">available online<\/a> and in the township clerk\u2019s office, located at 401 Chambers Bridge Road. The permit application fee is $35; there is no charge for veterans with a military ID. Beach access can be found on Brick Beach I, the township\u2019s northernmost public beach.<\/p>\n<p>All vehicles are subject to an inspection by the Brick Township Police Department before a permit is approved. Inspections will be conducted at the municipal building beginning Sept. 4 on the following schedule:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Wednesdays:<\/strong> September 4, 11, 18 \u2013 6pm-9pm<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fridays:<\/strong> September 6, 13, 20 \u2013 6pm-9pm<\/li>\n<li><strong>Saturdays:<\/strong> September 7, 14, 21 \u2013 9am-3pm<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications must be completed prior to inspection. Applications must include $35, copy of a valid driver\u2019s license and a copy of valid vehicle registration. Applications can be submitted to the clerk\u2019s office, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or to Brick PD\u2019s Traffic Safety Unit at the time of inspection. Checks should be made payable to the Twp. of Brick and mailed to the clerk\u2019s office. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bricktownship.net\/documents\/2024-2025-beach-vehicle-permit-application-inspection-schedule\/\">Applications can be accessed online here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Permit applications submitted to Traffic Safety and through the mail will be mailed the following business day.
