(Credit: Alan Levine\/Flickr\/File Photo)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Brick Township officials have approved a contract that will see the township hire a company to repaint markings on numerous roadways and parking areas in town.<\/p>\n<p>The township council awarded a contract this week to Dan Swayze & Son, of Scotch Plains, N.J., for $125,000.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe locations include various public streets and municipal complexes,\u201d said Councilwoman Marianna Pontoriero.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The specific areas include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Grenbriar (55+ Community)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Greenbriar II (55+ Community)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Princeton Commons (55+ Community)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Municipal Complex (Town Hall, Chambers Bridge Road)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Civic Plaza Parking Lot<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Brick Beach I<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Brick Beach III<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Drum Point Sports Complex<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Wedgewood (55+ Community)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Duquesne Boulevard<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Laurelton Gardens<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The funds for the projects were included in the 2024 municipal budget, Pontoriero said. Officials may include additional areas if needed once work begins.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the council awarded a $446,913 contract to Earle Asphalt for repaving and drainage improvements to the <strong>Cherry Quay neighborhood<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Cherry Quay Phase II road upgrade project will provide for milling, paving, drainage improvements and repairs to curbing and driveway aprons on Royal Drive and Tiller Lane, two of the streets that make up the neighborhood.
