The new restaurant, Malaquita<\/a>, serves Mexican and Central American fare, and can be found at 1563 Route 88. Malaquita offers \u201cauthentic breakfast, lunch and dinner for the community to enjoy,\u201d the opening announcement said.<\/p>\n According to its website, Malaquita offers a full breakfast menu with choices ranging from traditional huevos rancheros (sunny side-up eggs and ham on a tostada with pico, refried beans and cheese) to authentic grilled breakfast steak with white rice, fresh cheese, avocado and sweet plantains on Central American-style tortillas. Lunch specials include stewed chicken with fresh vegetables, and a host of sandwiches including a classic Cuban and even a Latin American take on the traditional tuna fish sandwich.<\/p>\n The menu is rounded out with a wide range of traditional Mexican dishes, including burritos, tacos, fajitas, steak and shrimp dishes. The Central American options are the most unique to the Shore area, including fried pork and chicken dishes, oxtail and vegetable dishes with Salvadoran sauce.<\/p>\n Malaquita<\/a> is located in the former location of Taylor Sam\u2019s, east of the intersection of Route 88 and Jack Martin Boulevard.
