(Credit: Walmart)

Brick Township will continue its tradition of hosting a “Town-Wide Yard Sale” this spring, but will split it into two events – one for the north side of town, and one for the south. One side will host theirs in the spring, while the other will host in the fall.

The township announced the changes last week, which will see the first of the two yard sales – the north side – occurring April 25, 2026. The south side’s yard sale will be held Oct. 3, 2026. Mayor Lisa Crate said the decision to split the events was made so it would be easier for buyers to navigate the sales, which have grown to include hundreds of homes across town.

“Our town-wide yard sales have been incredibly successful, with hundreds of homes registering each year,” said Mayor Crate. “For shoppers trying to visit as many sales as possible, it could be challenging, to say the least. By dividing the event into two separate sales, we hope to make the experience more manageable and enjoyable and ultimately even better for everyone.”

The “North Brick Town-Wide Yard Sale” will be held on Saturday, April 25 and will include all residences located north of Forge Pond and the Metedeconk River. This area includes the Forge Pond neighborhood, the entire Route 88 corridor and the Princeton Avenue corridor – and, of course, Herbertsville. The South Brick Town-Wide Yard Sale will take place on Saturday, October 3.

Residents who wish to participate in the “North Brick” sale can register now for $5 per household. Suggested sale hours are 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Registration can be completed in person at the Township Clerk’s Office, 401 Chambers Bridge Road, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants may also register by mail by downloading the registration form in this link and including payment and a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Participation in the town-wide event counts toward the annual limit of four yard sales per address. To help buyers find participating homes, the township will once again create an interactive Google Map, which will be available on the municipal website along with a full list of registered addresses. There is no rain date for the event. In the event of inclement weather, participants may choose to hold their sale the following day. The deadline to register for inclusion on the official map is Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

Brick Township will continue its tradition of hosting a “Town-Wide Yard Sale” this spring, but will split it into two events – one for the north side of town, and one for the south.
