Brick Township pet owners have two things to remember this month: the township\u2019s free rabies clinic Jan. 25, and the required renewal of pet licenses.<\/p>\n

Rabies Clinic:<\/strong> The free rabies clinic will be held Jan. 25 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Drum Point Sports Complex, 41 Drum Point Road. The Jan. 25 clinic will be the only one held this year, said Township Clerk Lynnette Iannarone. Pet owners are asked to cooperate and have their pet on a short leash and accompanied by an adult.\u00a0 There will be no animal licensing at the clinic.<\/p>\n

Pet Licenses:<\/strong> All dogs and cats, seven months or older, in Brick Township, must be licensed for 2015 during the month of January.\u00a0 A certificate of rabies vaccination must be presented, and must be current through Nov. 2016 for a one year license or November, 2018 for a three year license. Also, if a resident\u2019s dog and\/or cat has been spayed or neutered, the owner must present a statement from the veterinarian.<\/p>\n

Licenses may be obtained either by mail or in person at the municipal building, 401 Chambers Bridge Road, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.\u00a0 Exact change, check or credit cards (no American Express) are accepted. If requesting by mail, pet owners are asked to enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope.<\/p>\n
