(Photo: Daniel Nee)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Brick Township council last week voted to remove a number of potential uses from the Office Professional and Office Professional Transitional zones in the township.<\/p>\n<p>Such zoned areas are scattered around the township and are often transitional in nature, said Mayor John Ducey.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a transitional zone between business and residential,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Typical uses in the OP and OPT zones are banks, or medical or professional offices. But the township code, until the ordinance revision was passed last week, contained a number of conditional uses for the zones, including places of assembly, \u201cparish houses,\u201d convents and cemeteries in both zones, with the addition of ambulatory care centers, and marinas and boatyards in the OPT zone.<\/p>\n<p>All of those conditional uses were removed as part of the council\u2019s action.<\/p>\n<p>Scott W.
