The Havens Homestead Museum on Herbertsville Road will reopen for the season in April with a new featured exhibit on artistry in Brick through the years.<\/p>\n

The exhibit will honor the \u201crich cultural heritage\u201d of Brick Township\u2019s artists, dating back to Clara Stroud Colvin and a meeting of artists in her Herbertsville studio on September 18, 1939 and the founding of the Laurelton Art Society. The exhibit is entitled \u201cA Celebration of Brick Township,\u201d and it includes beautiful watercolors, pastels and oil paintings by some of the most influential artists of the Jersey Shore.<\/p>\n

The show will run from April 11 through May 9 during regular museum hours: Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon and Sundays from 12 noon to 2 p.m. There is no admission charge for either a tour of the museum or to see the exhibit. Donations to support the historical society are gratefully accepted by the museum\u2019s volunteer staff.<\/p>\n
