A Brick man is facing a charge of aggravated sexual assault on a 12-year-old girl, authorities said Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Samuel Holdbrook, 28, was arrested Monday by Brick Township Police Detective James Burgess<\/span><\/span> and Ocean County Special Victims Unit Detective Stephanie Bayha on charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Prosecutors allege that Holdbrook sexually assaulted a 12-year-old female victim sometime between January and February 2014. The victim was someone who was familiar to Holdbrook, said Al Della Fave, spokesman for the prosecutor\u2019s office.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Holdbrook was arrested at approximately 8:30 p.m. at Brick Township Police headquarters after the investigating detectives secured the necessary evidence to support the charge, Della Fave said. Ocean County Superior Court Judge Francis Hodgson set bail $250,000 cash. Nicole\u2019s Law, ordering Holdbrook have no contact with the victim, was implemented. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Holdbrook is being lodged in the Ocean County Jail in default of bail, Della Fave said. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
