(Photo: Laurelton Fire Company)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The Brick Township council has adopted a measure that will allow for the township\u2019s volunteer firefighters and EMTs, as well as their spouses and children, to qualify for tuition credits at a number of institutions.<\/p>\n<p>The resolution, passed unanimously by the council last week, takes advantage of a 1998 state law that provides for $600 per year in tuition credit at county colleges and county technical schools. The law authorizes as much as $2,400 in credit over a four-year period. The credit does not involve money changing hands \u2013 the township is not paying the tuition.
