The college requirement can be excepted in the case that an applicant has a minimum of 64 college credits along with two years of full time active duty military or law enforcement experience.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a written test on Sept 12, 2015, followed by a physical task assessment and swimming test on Oct 10, 2015.\u00a0 Finally, there will be oral interviews conducted during November and December of 2015, Stocco said.<\/p>\n<p>Applications are available in the lobby of police headquarters and online <a href=\"http:\/\/trpolice.org\/downloads\/PD-Exam-Info.pdf\">at the department\u2019s website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The department asks that those interested in applying do not call with questions that are already answered in their published instructions and application packet.\u00a0 Due to the high volume of applicants phone inquiries will not be returned, Stocco said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fcbkbttn_buttons_block\" id=\"fcbkbttn_left\"><div class=\"fb-share-button fcbkbttn_large_button \" data-href=\"https:\/\/shorebeat.com\/brick\/2015\/04\/toms-river-pd-looking-to-hire-new-officers-will-accept-applications-may-1\/\" data-type=\"button_count\" data-size=\"large\"><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Toms River Police Department will begin accepting applications for the position of full time Probationary Police Officer May 1, the department announced Wednesday.
