Larry Petrola, where the alleged victim told officers he had an argument with his roommate while the vehicle in which they were riding was stopped at the intersection.\u00a0 During the argument, the suspect, identified as William Hunter III, 26, of Lakehurst, slashed at the victim with a box cutter, cutting him on his neck and forearm, Petrola said.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter then fled from the vehicle prior to police arrival. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate Hunter, said Petrola.<\/p>\n<p>Detective Thomas Cooney was ultimately able to locate Hunter on Aug. 31 in Belmar, where he was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose.<\/p>\n<p>The victim in the case was treated and released from Ocean Medical Center.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter\u2019s bail was set at $50,000 cash by Municipal Court Judge Robert Lepore.
